so, has anybody else bought this kit recently? for those that have it, do you have any comments on how much better night visibility is on roads without reflector markings during rain? thanks!

Multiple studies have proven that DRLs reduce overall accidents by 10%, and have already saved thousands of lives. Keep your lights on. You're the one buying extra bulbs, when you don't even need them.
These new lights are nice and bright. If you disable DRLs, turn your fancy new lights on.

Or if you have fog lights in your bumper you could tie them into the DRL circuit and have them on instead of the headlights and still accomplish the same affect and still pass an inspection for it if you had to.
