Re: I SPOTTED YOU in Arizona

OK I'll bite, saw a Voodoo Blue with roof racks and rear tire cover driven by a nice looking brunette (who waved back) at Buckeye and Sky Harbor Circle @ 4pm yesterday. Third FJ I've seen on the road in Phoenix - first since this thread started. Fusion, Titanium, then Voodoo - mine is Diamond so if I see a Cherry then I hit for the cycle.

Re: I SPOTTED YOU in Arizona

This past Monday at around 8:30am I spotted a voodoo blue FJ turning left onto northbound Stapley Drive from the eastbound US-60 offramp in Mesa.

Here's a question I have for other Phoenicians out there. Does anyone know off the top of their head if there are any parking garages downtown with enough height clearance for an FJ with roofrack, specifically around Chase Ballpark and USAir Center? The reason I ask is I'm leaning towards getting a roof rack with my FJ which I'll hopefully have in the next month or so. The height with the rack is around 6'7" from what I've read. The garage I normally use for D'backs games is the Phoenix Civic Plaza underground garage on Monroe/3rd St. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to park in that garage with a roof rack as the clearance is not very high. My Grand Cherokee barely makes it under the clearance. I'd like to avoid parking my FJ out in the open during the hot summer months when I'm down there for afternoon D'Backs games. As long as there's at least one covered parking garage in the area with enough height clearance, that's good enough for me even if I have to walk a little farther. I prefer to park a little ways out and not pay the outrageous parking fees at the garages right across from the ballpark.

Re: I SPOTTED YOU in Arizona

Two in two days. I knew there had to be more FJC's out here.

Wednesday - 44th near McDowell around 6:30pm - Voodoo blue
Thursday- 75th and Deer Valley around 6pm - Black Diamond with roof rack. Like looking in the mirror.

Re: I SPOTTED YOU in Arizona

Hey AZCoyote. There is a parking garage on the Southwest corner of 1st Ave and Washington that your vehicle will fit in. It is across the street from the City court building so any day games your vehicle will be much safer since the garage if full of attorneys and cops in marked patrol vehicles. You can also park in the garage at the Arizona Center. I parked there the other day and walked to the Suns game. Both garages make for a little bit of a walk but it isn't that bad.

Re: I SPOTTED YOU in Arizona

Hey Buzpro, Avondale Toyota is also selling the FJ at MSRP just like Big Two Toyota. I tried to use the costco thing on the west side but it said that the vehilce is not authorized for the program since it is new. On the west side, the costoco dealer is Larry Miller Toyota. If Larry Miller won't do it, I might try Big Two. If it is only $100 savings over Avondale Toyota, I would spend that in gas going there and back twice (once to order, once to pickup).

Thanks! I parked in the Arizona Center garage for the Suns game Saturday (what a whipping they administered to the Lakers!!!) and did notice the clearance was 6'8, just enough height. That location is convenient to both the ballpark and the arena, so I'll probably be parking there once I get my FJ. As I was walking to USAir Center on 2nd St, I noticed the parking garages along that street close to Majerle's won't accomodate an FJ with roof rack(clearances of 6'4" and 6'5").
