Re: Oct 27th--Montana Mtn/Telegraph Canyon Run

I have run the montana mntn trail before but I came at it off the 60 east of apache junction...not sure about going south to FJ....anyone that knows this gas station in question have a chance to jump on google map or earth and dish out some gps numbers or adrs so I can navigate my way there from central phx.
thanks in advance

Re: Oct 27th--Montana Mtn/Telegraph Canyon Run

I actually think that the gas station is west of florence junction on the 60. I remember there being a stop light right there. I wish I had the time to run out there and figure it out. tibaal89 i know you are probably coming up from the 79 (maybe) so I am sure we'll see you if we pass by if you wait at florence junction. I'll try to find an early spot at the gas station to be visible. Otherwise channel 16 as always!
Fredwood...can't wait. I'm sure the whole family will have fun!
I am bummed that more aren't coming out! Maybe last weekend was enough to FJ some folks out for awhile!

Im pretty sure you can't miss the Texaco at the junction. I just can't remember if it is East or West of it. We will be coming from 79 and Im gonna try and rig up a CB. So if it works we will be on 16.

Re: Oct 27th--Montana Mtn/Telegraph Canyon Run

Great run! Thanks Lance for leading and educating! Good to hear about the pinstripping Bryce (hopefully you get to go back out)! It's funny how food dominates the end of the run! Eduardo's Pizza in Superior is awesome and highly recommended (but go easy on the jalapenos).
The run was good for any stock rig and there should be no worries. Highlights were the views of the valley...and of course the people! (Including the Arizona Sheep Spotters!)
Of course the pics (as no run would be complete without pics)

The charge to "Rock Mt."

The trail

The switchbacks

1legLance out ahead

The TuRD

The view of the valley from the top

Those who missed it....Hope to see you on the next one!
