up north

Haven't been around much other than to check the for sale forum cuz work is a ***** and I'm a slave to the man...but money is money.

Hello to all my old friends who I haven't seen in months and hello to all the newbies I haven't met yet. I hope to run with you guys again soon, just need a day off somewhere.

I was up in FLG yesterday for work and got to cut out a little early because of the snow. It was beautiful up there, all snowy and slushy.

I ended up taking schnebly hill rd into sedona on my way home, the views were lacking because of the fog and low laying clouds, but romping in the snow and mud was a blast. It started out with about 3 inches of snow on the trail and worked its way down to rain and mud the closer you got to Sedona. Fun and easy trail for sure. They were closing the gate as I was leaving though, so I don't know if that means its closed for the season or what.

After that I cut over to Prescott to play on Walker Rd/Senator Hwy. No snow in Prescott but lots of running water and snow once you got into the mountains more. Beautiful trail, tons of snow and slush...kinda like going to grandma's house when you were a kid. The closer you got to to I-17 the muddier it got too - I got mud caked everywhere. I didn't get up to Crown King tho as it was getting late and dark...and I was getting hungry.

Anyway, I highly suggest heading north this week sometime if you can, the snow and slush is worth it. The FJ handle's great in the snow, damned traction control almost handles too well!

Ed

Re: up north

haha, I fell off the face of the earth a bit. I've been working like a mutha... work has me traveling a lot, so if I'm not on an airplane I'm working an insane amount of hours. I also have to drive around and visit pet stores and junk. So I'm driving the FJ a ton, just not off road. If you ever see a blue FJ in the parking lot of a pet store, thats probably me, in fact I have to go to the Fountain hills Petco sometime this week.

I was bummed I missed SedonaFest, I had it marked on my calendar, but I had a business client/friend staying at the house all weekend that I was supposed to impress for work...which turned out to be a total bust cuz the meeting was a total flop and his product is junk.

Congrats on the Baby!!! Holy crap thats awesome! Woohoo! Katfish+Tonka = Katonka ???

I saw the new non club site, its pretty sweet. Nice job.

Will check out the party thread...and political thread, but I bet the party one will be more fun.

woot!

Re: up north

Katonka - that is soooo hollywood......After Sedonafest, BoBoNel from CA thinks we should name the baby Schnebly.....

If you find out what day you will be at the FH Petco, PM me - before 5pm - we can maybe meet up for dinner?

Well, hopefully the party will be fun, you should come!

The political thread has been open for a long time now, impressive - usually people go nuts and then it gets closed!
