Ya, it's John Hunter from Hunter off road. He made the Sheriff's dept a "search and rescue" buggy back before building this one. Great guy, good fabricator as well.

I hate to say it, but late Saturday night the trash pile was lit on fire... The FD was called out along with the FS to put it out. Whats wrong with some people...
The FS was out there over the last couple days to clean it up. That had to be was smelly smoldering mess.

That pisses me off beyond belief. Some people just have no respect for not only the world we live on, but for the people who actually do care about it and try and make it better for all.

Seriously, a regular bon fire would have been much more enjoyable to stand around than a big pile of toxic smoking trash. WTF...Some people...

Sean
I recognized his tube work instantly. It's his characteristic style.

Re: Four Peaks Trail Cleanup Feb. 9th

Tim- who is cleaning up the burned pile? I saw it was still there on Monday, and nobody was around the FS office to answer that question. If the OHV groups are tasked with it I can lend a hand this weekend. Just PM me!

AH! I'll call them again today, but I'm loosing faith. I am ready to head up there. The rear diff on my 4runner decided to start grinding, actually as I left the clean-up, nows its deteriorated so much its not drivable and it sounds like it will be a week just to get the parts in.
Long story short I'm happy to go up there, but I don't know how I'll get there...
What day works best for you. If we can make a dent in it we can just keep heading up until its gone and I can encourage others to do the same.

Re: Four Peaks Trail Cleanup Feb. 9th

I'm down to help out as well if the forest service is having problems.

We really need to be wearing masks or respirators though to be moving around burned up stuff like what is in the pile.

Let me know on a day when you are going out there.

Re: Four Peaks Trail Cleanup Feb. 9th

First off its great to see the sponsors getting some press and print. They deserve every bit of it.
Secondly, I've signed up to be a member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition. You get the magazine they send out, the latest with the cleanup in it, and it makes you feel great.
BRC and Tread Lightly are just great and I want to support them. Enough talking.
The link is below to the digital version of the BRC magazine about the clean-up. Enjoy!!
