Well, by the look of that photo, the "road" has been bulldozed right along where the wreck is. It used to be on the side of the wash while the wreck was in the center. There was an open channel in the bushes nearby but it dead ended. In the satellite photos, it looks like that channel had been opened up, probably by vehicular traffic. I'm guessing that the local mining activity necessitated the widening and grading of access, and they just decided that this worthless wreck was in the way, and they 'dozed right through it, ripping off one of the pontoons and knocking over the cab in the process.
