Sorry I missed your posts about Sunday! Woulda been cool to have you out there. I think we got about a mile from Saguaro Lake. Hopefully make it all the way one of these days.
Post up what your planning on running I'll run with ya!
Wes
No, he sold the zero G and now has a different buggy.
Glad you guys had fun.

Cool. I've run with Carlos before.....I absolutely covet that 4Runner of his. Wish I had a 2nd Gen like that to build instead of the 3rd Gen I have.
Thanks Mark. You gonna make any of the ones I mentioned? It'd be nice to meet ya and put a face with the name.
Oh, and did Jason DeMello ever let anyone know if he was actually going to make this? I'd definitely like to finally shake his hand.
Sean
I had to laugh the other day when Carlos referred to his turbo'd 4cyl as 'squirrels on crack'
I'm too damage-phobic to run those trails but I'll try meet you in the morning before the run.
Wyatt, Jason's partner, is coming. He said Jason wasn't going to make it because their new baby is expected real soon
A little edit for those of you that don't know Carlos. He and Jake own Toy Box Auto, Performance Parts - Wholesale Prices and do general toyota maintenance, high performance tuning, and general off road fabrication.

The AZRocks campsite is NOT at the old AZ State Jamboree camp site.
From what I found on the TTORA site, it's off of the pipeline road just after you get on Cottonwood Canyon. You'll basically turn east onto Cottonwood Canyon Road from Hwy 79....travel a very short distance to where the pipeline road crosses Cottonwood Cyn Rd. and then head north (turn left) onto the pipeline road. Camp is along that road. Just go until you hit RVs and Toyotas.
HTH,
Sean

Hopefully this will help explain. From the AZ TTORA site:

Heatstroke previously said:
Go down Cottonwood Canyon Rd about 1/3rd of a mile to the gas pipeline road and veer left. Go until you see a bunch of tents/campers/rvs on your left. As you turn in we will have our area set up roughly towards the 2 o'clock direction back off the road.
We will be where the green dot is, the red is where the rest of the people will be, and the smartest ones will be somewhere in the yellow area LOL.

Small change of plans for me: I'm not meeting at camp. Got a friend who doesn't have his STL permit, so we are meeting (dropping trailers) at the flagpole just past the cattle guard off of Cottonwood Canyon on BLM land at 8:30.
Hopefully, I'll see at least Wes and Don sometime during the day. Gotta leave fairly early too though....meeting friends for dinner in Chandler that evening so I won't see you guys at the raffle/bonfire that evening.
