Ok AZ peeps, my baby shower is on Sunday, Feb. 24th at 2:00pm at our house.
My thought was - drop off your wives and go with Dan on a run somewhere. We live very close to butcher jones play area, Needles trail (don't know much about it) and not far from Montana Mtn.

I'll take a look at this. I know I'm the trauma dude on the 22nd... I may also be Dr. Weekend, too... If so, I can't get out of range.
There's actually a trail system in your back yard that I've been wanting to revisit. WAAAAAAAAY back when I was first 4 wheeling (1999), I went exploring up above Fountain Hills and followed the river up to a pool with a rock formation overhanging it. There were several ways to go above this pool, mostly following sandy washes. I went up several and they petered out to nothing. One boxed me in so tight that I was driving in with my mirrors folded in, and then I had to back out the same way. I was trying to get up to the lake.
I went back to the river and gave up, but as I did, I noticed a notch in the rock that could be climbed with a little committment. I think it's the way up and over to a different system of trails that would get to the lake.
We may be in town that weekend. The Arizona state senior games are going on that weekend. I am entered, but will make up my mind after this next week if I am competing. Off too long with the knee injections and recovery. But may be able to do it. I have cousins that will be in town that week also so it is likely we will be there. I will let you know after a couple of weeks on the bike starting tomorrow.
I am free that day and I would love to drop off the wife and come out & play in the dirt.
