I like Harbor Freight for certain items....I would be concerned about buying a winch from them....Most stuff is rather inexpensive wich equates to cheaply made.
Homedad's has had one on his truck for awhile and he uses it more often then not...

The Dairy Queen was a madhouse last night. The ice cream was good though.

I've considered just what you've said. Maybe it won't last, but Homedad has yanked me out several times from deep mud. We'll just have to see how long it goes. Hopefully it fails pulling something or somebody other than me.

Re: AZFJ:DQ, Costco & Harbor Freight sale

HF winch is made by mile marker...rated #3 under warn9.5 and mile marker 10.0.....rated by 4x4 magizine....the last quote was" I don't know if it's this good of a winch...or just too dumb to die"
Either way....I've used mine so many times I've lost count....and NEVER a single glitch.....

But I'm a cheap ass....so I ain't dropping a grand on a winch.....I'll get 3 HF's for that price.....

Re: AZFJ:DQ, Costco & Harbor Freight sale

That is the review that I read Homedad. Thanks for posting.

Now I need to :
1. find a guy or gal who is a demon with a welder
or
2. Figure out which bumper I want to buy next.

Getting hanged up this weekend had me thinking... I could have used that winch regardless if was HF or some other brand..

Cheers,
