Willow Springs, AZ Trail Run Tomorrow 9:30 AM 2/23/08

Anyone with a permit for Bull Dog Canyon interested in going out to Willow Springs to run the trail?
If so, minimum requirements: rear locker, sliders and atrac.
If interested, we're planning to meet at the gas station just north of US60 on Idaho Rd in AJ at 9:30 AM. It's on the east side of the road.
Plan for a full day, great scenery and challenging wheeling with a mini-Moab area as well as a typical AZ wash type trail. Bring lunch and water.

PS. You MUST have a permit to run this trail. It is free but since the NFS branch that grants the permits is already closed for the weekend, you'll already have to have one in your possession.

GREAT run today. Really nice group of folks....had 6 vehicles in all. Played around on Mini-Moab and then did the trail. Started at 10, finished up around 4......and still didn't manage to get anywhere near the end of the trail.
Few instances of quicksand....which we luckily got through. I cannot believe the amount of water out there right now. Definitely made the trail much tougher and slower going.
I'm hoping to have my wife load some video soon.

***EDIT*** Forgot, you guys probably don't know what I'm talking about with the ledge comment below. Heres' the before the recent rains vid.....notice the difference in height of the ledge. Sand has washed in filling it up!
