I guess this would be considered a mod. I built a set of cross bars for the factory roof rack. They are so that I can mount my ski rack to the factory rack. The ski rack is designed to be attached to a pair of 1.24" wide cross bars and it will not fit on the factory rack's airfoil shaped cross bars.

I machined some aluminum clamp blocks that insert into 1.25" OD square alum tube. The the blocks will then clamp onto the round tubing side rails of the factory rack. It is all...

OK, so now I have a BLOG (my 1st). I guess this will start out being sort of a running history of my 2008 Sandstorm colored FJ.

Purchased from Durant Toyota in Weatherford, TX on January 28, 2008. It has the 6 speed manual transmission. It came with the convenience package, off road package, stock base model sound system, receiver hitch, and roof rack. At the time of purchase I bought the floor and cargo mats, front passenger arm rest, and spare tire cover.
