Rear Diff?

Cleaarly, protecting the rear diff from damage is hard without resorting to clearance-robbing sheet metal solutions.

Is there a way to armore the rear diff against trail damage without losing too much clearance? Seems to me it's the last piece left without adequate coverage.

Re: Rear Diff?

it doesn't look like the allphase offroad rear diff skid reduced clearance much. I like this the allphase better than allpro because it is bolt on. I talked to Bud yesterday and he has one that he is working on for the FJ. He said he actually has a few projects for the FJ. Rear diff skid, e-locker skid, rear storage drawer.... I can't wait to see em'

Re: Rear Diff?

Bud's had my FJ at his shop since December 9th designing some skids for the Rough Country 6" Lift.....but he was telling me about his rear diff skid idea and it sounds like it's easily going to be the best solution currently available. I'm definitely down for one of his rear diff skids as soon as he gets them ready....

Re: Rear Diff?

I am very happy with the quality of the bud built skids you don't have to worry if you need to lean on them. can hardly wait to see what his rear diff skid is going to look like.

Re: Rear Diff?

haha lean on them? Mine have been beat brutally. My back skid was HAMMERED....he was going to attempt to get it off the truck while he has it and straighten it some....

It saw some abuse in Ouray - that's for sure

Definitely one of the most high quality products for the FJ hands down....

Re: Rear Diff?

Hope these come out soon. I was debating on getting the Allphase ones, but now I'm glad I held off.

Any picts of prototype? Thanks!

Your skids are my next big upgrade

Re: Rear Diff?

Heres an All Pro

Heres another

I went with the All Pro for clearance and because I think the All Phase looks a lil unsightly down there. For those who do heavy Rock Crawling more Armor is a good idea. Around my parts its just about all mud holes (wish I had more rocks!) and I am not that aggressive so I figured the Rear AP shock skids and Rear Diff armor would suffice. After welding it on my pretty paint job cooked off (naturally) around the welds so i plan on doing a better touch up job soon.

Re: Rear Diff?

I saw a prototype of this skid tonight @ Buds....if the production idea he has comes to be - then this is hands down the best diff. skid to date....It has AMAZING protection and as always - Bud's fit & durability is top notch...

I can't wait to get one of these on my rig...

I'll volunteer to test them out at Rausch if Bud needs a guinea pig
