What do you think about a Groupbuy? (Budbuilt)

I was just wondering what the chances are that we could get a group buy on some skids going?

I figure people have all stared to recover after the Holidays so it should be optimal time to get skids right before the nice weather arrives.

You better forget about a group buy for Bud Built skids, he dosent do them..you have to remember, all his business is nothing but skids for the Toyota. He gives us all the best price he can for them. I think IMHO they are the best you can buy. I hope this helps you understand why he dosen't do GB's.

Re: What do you think about a Groupbuy?

I would have been all for this if I wasn't waiting for the FedEx truck to get here with my full set. These things are already a great price for the quality and I just couldn't hold off any longer.

If you do have a sale...just don't let me find out about it any time soon. Please!!!

Smile Re: What do you think about a Groupbuy? (Budbuilt)

Thanks for the interest guys and gals!

Shadow is right. I hate group buys. We did one, years ago and it was horrible. We did have our first ever sale last November. For the swift, it was a killer deal. It generated a bunch of sales which paid a bunch of bills in a strangely slow month.

We are working 6 days a week with 1.5 shifts/day to prepare for the demand that will hit the first few warm days when spring fever and tax refunds collide. Then, it will be crazy busy until we leave for the Summit.

But, seriously, if you are planning to order a set of skids this spring, please try to do it as soon as you can. We try to keep at least 10 sets of bare steel and 10 sets of black powdercoated ones in stock at all times. However, spring time can see that # shipped in a few days. For example, last April's sales volume was 4.3x last January's sales volume. We have sufficient stock and manpower to get these out but just thought you'd like to have a little insite into our little world, and how VERY rollercoater-ish it is.

SO, how about an extra bonus for the earlier birds? We have a bunch of nice leather gloves with the FJCruiser logo on them and will send a pair with each set ordered, until supplies run out.

Thanks for listening to a guy who is preparing like an engineer but trying not to stress about it!
Bud
PS I'll see y'all at the Summit!
Hopefully in MY FJ...

Not yet my friend! Just decided to sell the Taco today and will actively start looking. Got a Lefty, duals, 4.7s, dana 60s, ARBs, 39.5" IROKs and a "few" sets of skids and sliders for it already tho... We'll see what turns up...
