BudBuilt gastank skid

Just got off the phone with Budbuilt. They just made a solo gas tank skid that does'nt need the other skids. I got allpro fronts and trans so this is perfect. Im the second one to purchase it per budbuilt.

Re: BudBuilt gastank skid

Cool! Bud makes some great products. I run just the gas tank skid as well. I had all of his other skids, but they don't fit my FJC anymore.

Re: BudBuilt gastank skid

Does it simply replace the OEM and use the same bolts?

What kind of angle does it have on the front? Just wondering if it could potentially catch up on anything.

Re: BudBuilt gastank skid

I don't know what the front of his solo tank skid looks like, but I can tell you that you'll be happy with your purchase. I run the full monte of Bud skids and I love them to death.

I had actually already purchased all my skids and they were in my garage, when I had an impropmptu trip to moab happen. The moment I decided to put my skids on immediately when I got home was when I was climbing a nominal wash with a vertical 2' wall topout and hung up on my gas tank (minus the oem skid, because, of course, I had removed it so I could put the other on two weeks ago................and a flashy thing caught my eye, diverting my attention and nearly screwing me 30 miles from nowhere.
I was REALLY hung up on the tank and only by virtue of luck, my hi-lift and a patient wife, was I able to make it off that rock without significant damage.

Cheers,

Mike

Re: BudBuilt gastank skid

Yea, im interested in seeing the solo tank. I have allpro skids so i though about adding the gas skid. My stock one is starting to look a little rugged after 2 years.

Re: BudBuilt gastank skid

I assume that my MAF tank will not interfere with it?
