RC 6": Watch out, make sure they fit beforehand!

Hi All,
I just installed my budbuilt 5 pc kit but it wasn't really bolt on condition. Digger (Not-his-FJ) was doing the install and as usual he makes it happen. The front skid doesn't fit there, i mean the lip of the skid is slightly slanted backwards causing the skid's 3 bolt holes not fit over the RC spacer bracket holes. So digger made three new holes in the skids and made them work. Also, there were some bolts that were tiny, and don't reach through to the frame rail. I am not trying to talk trash about Bud's stuff, just wanted folks here to keep an eye ahead. As for the skids themselves, they were nicely powdercoated and are sure going to protect the rig.

The original front skid is not designed to fit with the RC 6" lift. I know he was designing one that would fit, not sure if they are complete yet.

Any chance they sent you a regular front skid plate? Bud has had the skids plates for the Rough Country 6" for almost a year now.

Re: RC 6": Watch out, make sure they fit beforehand!

The set i ordered was for the RC 6", i assume they were because the holes we made were half an inch off and the whole problem was caused by the angle front lip.
