SWITCHES: Compilation of panel switches for FJ

NCFJ (Stan) initiated this thread as a listing of various switches that will work in a variety of capacities on the FJ Cruiser.

We'll include a number of posts of recommended switches here, however, for a complete listing of contributed suggestions, and/or to read the original full thread and post questions/comments on this topic, please go to
http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...cing-here.html

There have been a fair amount of switch related threads lateley so lets get them all in one place.

Carling sealed rocker switches, part #432-1088-ND Switch Rocker SPST 12V 20AMP Sealed
2 lights, one lights with dash lights, 1 lights when circuit activates

$11.20 each, $9.00 each for 10 or more

Digi-Key Corp. 1-800-344-4539 digikey.com

The stock holes in the center console are stepped, smaller as you go in. The sides of the switch openings require trimming from behind with a utility knif, about a minute, very easy. The new switches are held in by the top and bottom

These switches also fit in the stock holes although I am not sure what trimming is required. They light up when the circuit is activated but do not light when dash lights are turned on.

I like these. Easy to use. Only thing you have to do is file the side down a little and they slide in nice and neat FJ-FOGSW - FJ Cruiser fog light switch conversion Parts and Accessories

A shot of the Taco Fog Light Switch and a basic rocker switch installed.

Here'smysetup. Got the switches from my buddies web site.
HID Kits & Neons - underbody kits, LEDs, cathodes, hid kits
Here's the link to the switches.
Scion OEM Style LED Rocker Switch

They work great, require slight trimming of the switch panel, but you can still reuse the blank covers if you ever remove them.

Rocker switches for round hole mounting. SPST. Can be mounted in either in flat panel areas, or center-mounted on the OEM switch blanks. Illuminates (red, green or amber) when activated.

Boat supply stores, Radio Shack, etc. @ $3.50 each.

Cheaper Tacoma switches... $6.68 each:

Edit: I ordered a few last night. I'll post pics if anyone wants, but I think they are the same as other Tacoma switches already posted.

4x4mods does have competition. www.otrattw.com/S2.htm
To give you a preview of what's to come in a few months. http://www.otrattw.com/FR.htm

This isn't a sales pitch, btw. You had mentioned that no one else makes the switches and I just wanted to let you know.
