Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

This Company has the Wedco Cans for $39. and CARB compliant cans for $49

NATO style Jerry Cans

He also sells parts - spouts and gaskets.

For the more frugal minded, the parts fit these used NATO Spec cans

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

Gobi is a NO-GO-BI ! They have them on their website but explained that they can no longer sell them. Being the good Wooodsman that I am, I refrained from asking why the frick they still have them on the site.

Note to vendors: It is very annoying to find, after entering all your contact info and credit card info, that an order will not go through because something on the site is no longer even carried in inventory.

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

Thanks a bunch CruisinWa. I placed an order and the guy said shipping these to US from Canada is no problem. As long as they aren't misadvertising, they are the real deal. Like I said in my PM, I don't know what the shipping costs will be. I'll let you post the website so you get the credit.

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

OK...here it is. I was going to wait a day or two before posting to make sure our orders made it out before something weird negated that. But since there is an urgency.
Have been following the thread and starting searching other forums etc. Found a link in British Columbia. As Woodsman has already said....no problem shipping to U.S. Just not sure what cost is for shipping. I got two tan with yellow strap that say diesel. They have olive in gas...red strap. Also both funnels. I think they might be the special "Sadam" edition, as they also have arabic script on them...lol.
Question for those of you with the tan tanks or anyone who might know....
the diesel and gas tanks should be the same except for the identifying color strap...right?
I got the tan because I want it to match up to my future Sandstorm. Hell of way to buy a FJ Cruiser, huh. Get the right color cans then get the cruiser...lol
The link....hope this helps you all. At least my first two posts hopefully contributed.

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

CruisinWa, just so you know, I already received a notification that my order was "in shipping" so I don't think anyone placing a new order will somehow bump our orders.

You might want to call them and ask about the gasket. I'm sure you could find someone to buy your tan cans if you need to.

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

OK....just got off the phone with them. Apparently tan tanks will work for gas. He thinks possibly a slightly different seal....but wasn't sure if there was a difference. Said should be not be a problem. If there was he could send me a complete cap and attachment setup to replace.
Shipping to me in Washington (lucked out being close)...approx. $20. To Woodsman and another in Ohio...approx. $38. That's for two tanks and a nozzle...for me and I believe Woodsman.
Apparently arabic script...i.e "sadam" special edition....lol.......only on tan colored ones. Great conversation piece.
I warned him to be prepared for the onslaught....he lasughed and said thanks in advance.

Woodsman....ours go out tomorrow....just in case you wanted to talk with them regarding matching your sandstorm re: above comment.

Re: SCEPTER Military 20L Fuel Cans

CrusiinWa, I found this for you. Sounds like the tags may be the only difference but not sure. . . so it makes me wish I had bought the tan. I can live with it. I gots me some good ol' military Scepters !

Note: All MFC Fuel Cans are designed to accommodate either Gasoline or Diesel Fuel. However DOT Regulations require that a Red Strap be placed on Gasoline cans and Yellow Strap be placed on Diesel cans.
