Re: Camping Gear Reviews, A Ton

It does come with a nice black bag with gold "Cabelas" lettering on it.
I do not have the dims for it though folded up.

I can measure it later though if I get time today, and I will post back here.
It is nice quality.

Thanks. The other one I am looking at is the Coleman pack away kitchen. $59 at Walmart.

Re: Camping Gear Reviews, A Ton

OK, just flipped the hashbrowns

35"x19"x3" or so.
It is not perfectly flat though.
Since I do not have rear seats, I first slide in the picnic table next to the ARB fridge.
Then I put this on top, then I pile on the Action Packer gear boxes.
It makes for a pretty stable setup packing stuff around it.

Taking out the rear seats and moving the fridge behind me was one of the best mods for being able to pack in gear tightly.

Re: Camping Gear Reviews, A Ton

I checked out the Coleman packaway at Walmart and did not like it! The table top is not AL. Maybe the Walmart version is not as good. Also it said mfg Oct 07. Cabelas has a similar packaway but it is probably the same type of thing. Starting to lean towards the one you have barring any additional recommendations.

Re: Camping Gear Reviews, A Ton

I really do like mine.
What I am going to do though is cut a piece of this stuff up.
Roll of Deluxe Drawer Liner

I bought a roll from my detail supplier (Griots Garage) and I use the stuff at home to line my tool boxes with.
It keeps tools from slipping.

Also, the little glovebox in front of you in the FJ I have a flashlight and a teargas weapon in there.
Before the stuff would roll around and cause noise.
I cut a piece sized for the interior of it, and now nothing rolls in there.

Anyways, back on top here
I will cut a piece sized for the bottom of my camping stove and place it on the Cabelas kitchen top.
Last year not a problem, but this last trip I was in an uneven-sloped camping spot, and the stove slid around in top of the aluminum slats.

Put a piece of this down, and I guarantee you nothing will slide.

It is the same type of stuff that boaters use on their dashtops to keep a drink from spilling.

You can see how the site was sloped here.
In the second pic you can see a few rocks my brother and I put under the left side feet to level the kitchen up.
