coleman white gas stove

you've seen them before....the green ones w/ two burners.....i pulled mine out last weekend and cooked a dozen or so hot dogs......those coleman stoves are by far the best out there.....old school pump.....they generate a lot of heat.....i love it

this thing has to be about 30 years old....it works great.....

Oldschool cool! I have an aluminum one, the only one like it I have ever seen. I just fill it up with premium gasoline and you have heat, cooktop, and hot water for coffee in minutes.

Great emergency gear also for those times where there is no power.

Re: coleman white gas stove

I got a newer one with the propane bottle but still awesome. And the bottles are like 2 bucks and last for about 5 cooking sessions.

Re: coleman white gas stove

MY old coleman got me through 13 days without power after hurricane hugo! I bought her at a yard sale for 5 bucks!!! She bit the dust a couple of years ago and I bought one that ran off of propane. I liked the old one better!

Re: coleman white gas stove

We've got 2 of them and 2 of the Coleman lanterns also. The stoves, and my gas grill got us through 5 days of no power following Isabel. We've had them since the early 70's. Every time I think about getting rid of them, I can't bring myself to do it. Guess I'll keep them for Armageddon.

Re: coleman white gas stove

I have had two of them.
Back around 1980 my dad gave me his fathers which was from around the 40s or 50s, or maybe before, I do not know.

A lot of the paint was missing, but it will worked pretty good.
My X wife and I even used it during the 80s on camping trips.

I am not sure what happened to it, but I prefer the propane ones now on account of I do not really have a place to store the white gas indoors at my place.

I will have to see if I can find an old picture of me cooking on it sometime.

Re: coleman white gas stove

I didn't realize that Coleman still made the whitegas stoves. I think I'm going to get one of the new dual fuel dual burner stoves. Doesn't anyone have any experience with the "new" dual fuel stoves?
