Size Of Arb Fridge

I noticed that ARB is selling only the Model 42 fridge now. Does anyone have the cubic inch storage capacity of it? Still using the "5 day" cooler and getting tired of it. Just curious as to the inside size difference between mine and the ARB. I can't seem to find that info on any of the spec pages.

No matter what, I will be getting the fridge in the future though. If I had another expedition planned after the Grand Staircase, I would be ordering one now. But no such luck.

Thanks,
Gary

I'll double check mine when I get home tonight...not sure if they give the cubic inch capacity or not.

I know what the claims are, but how well do they actually work?

Re: Size Of Arb Fridge

The only time I've used mine was in Ouray...all the way there, at camp, and all he way back. It was great once we got the thermostat dialed into where we wanted it. Kept all of our drinks and food chilled. We used that, in conjunction with a 5 day Xtreme cooler.
If you have 2 sets of ice packs, you can freeze one set, put them in the cooler and move the other set to the fridge/freezer. That way you can stay self contained, using both a cooler and fridge without the need for ice.

Re: Size Of Arb Fridge

You can use them as a freezer or fridge. Definitely my next mod. Targa88 says its his most favorite mod. Overland Journal says the same thing. To be able to keep things cold without ice -- what more can you say.

Is there a freezer compartment? Didn't know you could freeze something and keep other things just cold.

No there's no freezer compartment, although there is an attachment (dual zone) made by Engel, I believe that will do just that. I just keep it right on the edge of freezing.

Re: Size Of Arb Fridge

Here are the dimensions as measured on the inside.

11" Wide
16" long
15" deep

As for a freezer, just turn the thermostat to freeze and you can take popsicles on the trail with you.
