Skid Plate

Toyota's webpage specifies that the Engine, Gransmission, and Gas tank skid plates are standard equipment.

I went through their online calculator and saw that under "Accessories" there is an option there for "Skid Plate" for a little over $300CAD.

Which skid plate are they referring to there under the accessories list?

Re: Skid Plate

That accessory skid plate is nothing more than bling. Don't do it.

1st.... what the hell is a "Gransmission"?

they are refering to the thin thing on the front that must be just for looks.

Re: Skid Plate

Just out of curiousity, where does that accessory skid plate go? If it's a skid plate, no one can really see it since it's under the vehicle. I ordered a Blue one!

Thanks!

PS. LV Rocks! will visit there again one day!

Re: Skid Plate

It's the silver looking one on the bottom underside of the front, you can kind of see it in certain pictures, but there is a stock skid plate that is already installed near there. I think that accessory is like a cover or something - made to stand out a little bit more. Pretty LAME either way.

Re: Skid Plate

Here's a slide from the Toyota Greenville event describing the bling skid plate:

It will go well with your running boards.
