Just got a message from my Vancouver dealer that some FJ's have arrived and are in the local compound where incoming vehicles are stored until being shipped to the respective dealers.

I will try to go down there and snag a few pics!

GO! GO! GO!!!!!!

Where is this compound? I'm interested to confirm or debunk this notion that FJ's coming to Canada would ship to US ports, not Canadian ports. Sounds like the dumbest thing i could imagine, unless you enjoy homeland security harrassment initiatives, expensive delays and extra costs.

Has your dealer given you any update on port installed options & specifying final items you want on yours?? I dont want to miss the boat there but my guy does not seem to know- the website only has a small spattering of the options listed.

The compound in near the SilverCity complex in Richmond, close to where the big auto mall is. He said they should be shipped to dealers in a week or two.

The list of port installed options is on the Toyota.ca website if you price out your vehicle you will find the list, but most of them do not seem to be worth it. It was summarized in the (Yeah/Booooo! all FJ info) post.

hey thanks!

now on the website (.ca)- unless my browser is screwed up, a huge amount of options are missing. all they have mostly is silly stuff like cargo containers. i see no rock rails, brush guard, rear door storage,tail light protectors,etc. Compared to the options list i downloaded for US trucks, there a bunch missing. some items missing are supposedly not ready at launchthat i'd understand, but others supposedly are...?

My dealer said they would be updating that through March ... but really, who needs rock rails when you could buy small cargo boxes :>)
