Well, the deposit is paid, the order is in and I LOVE it!!!!
Went for a good 30 minute drive through Edmonton and had the salesman to the right of me and the family in the back. Got to test drive an automatic but still ordered the manual 6 instead. I like driving stick and from what my mechanic says it is the way to go.
So all said in done, I order Black Diamond, 6MT, "C" package with a trailer hitch and wiring harness for $38,300 all taxes, delivery and fees in (For my US friends and neighbors thats about $31,400 US dollars). I think I did awesome. Matter of fact I even went to the dealer that was closer to my house and said if they matched the price I would sooner take it from them. They set me walking, too low for their blood.
I figure I was in a 3 week wait based on what they intitially told me on the phone. But the new car sales manager came to me when I was on my way out and said they may have it as soon as Monday....said they have one in the Vancouver depot with exactly what I was ordering.....holy crap....
Cant wait. When I get it I will definately take some pic's and post etc....
Congratulations on your purchase.
BTW, I am new to this forum and I would like to get a FJ for myself in the Spring time. I am also from Edmonton and may I ask which dealer have you gone to?

Awsome...welcome to the family... Don't worry about the lack of view out the back window, that is what the parking sensors are for...or don't those come on the FJ in Canada
As for Gas...I use 89 here in MN as well, no issues yet in all 900 miles I have on mine.
I must confess that with every day that goes by I keep hoping the dealer calls sooner than later. Considering this is my first "Brand New" vehicle in 13 years (Don't laugh 1995 Ford Aerostar, 93,000 miles, bought when I was in Des Moines). It is excellent shape and thus the reason for my hesitancy to purchase a new vehicle. But since the deal was so good and the timing was right I went ahead.
I have been lurking around the other posts and already have a list of things to do when I get it. Change the bulbs in the headlights and maybe the dome lights. I want a set of the door sill protectors too but they are too much right now, and I definitely want to put a set of lights across the roof rack in front. And if the horn is as wimpy as everyone professes it to be get one of those small bad boy air horns. All in due time though. Cannot wait man, I am Moocho excited.
So what colour is your FJ? Which dealer did you go to? You have such an awesome deal in town! I am also from Edmonton, may be I should check that dealer too
I also want door sill protectors, insill window visors and headlamps, and bulbs...and a horn, etc, etc. Maybe we Canucks should see about getting a group buy from one of the vendors here........

Not a bad idea XLR8R. I am a US born Canadian and have some family still in the States. My father goes to visit them a couple times a year and anytime I need something I get it shipped to my family and he brings it back for me. All in all I am sure I have saved a couple thousand dollars throughout the last few years.
Ideally if & when I am ready we may want to see what we can do to get it done. I will PM you or start a post with the idea. My concern is getting the product ordered and then the payment and subsequent shipment of the product. Either way when I get the baby, starting to think of some names already, and I am ready to order, I will let you know.
