New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

Well, I got the call this afternoon. My FJ showed up on the truck. Had supper and took a drive and happened to be in the area so I stopped by to see it.....wink wink. ;o)

It happened to be in the wash bay and had been washed off. All I could do was stare....I know I know how pathetic....

Anyway, I am having the dealer do a few things for me before I pick it up and he said he has a bunch of deliveries ahead of mine....blah blah blah.... so I will not be getting it until Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Here is a pic, I cannot freakin wait man!!!

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

I couldn't wait that long!!! I would be checking on it every day.

When i collected my FJ the dealer said if i didn't come that evening he would have to sell it to someone else.... nice eh? I guess there are a few more out for sale now!

Hope you enjoy your new purchase!

Man, and you thought you would have it this weekend.

You won't be able to sleep or work.

Looks like it's gonna be a white sticker for you.

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

I made my hubby go and give the dealership heck when mine was delayed two weeks... they "found" me a Sun Fusion "C" pack pretty quick. Anyhoo, ENJOY it. I already have 5000 kms on it & it's been only two months since I got it.

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

When mine came in it was a thursday, the dealer said I could come get it the next Monday. I told him no, the next day would be better. We circled that for a while, eventually he said ok, they could do Friday. I think they just wanted to park it out front for a weekend (it was only 1 week after the release date).

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

Congrats,

However, no way it should take that long to deliver.
Our FJ came in on a Monday, we got it on Wednesday. Push the dealer to deliver by end of this week at least so you can drive it on the weekend.
A week of waiting when the car is in is unacceptable.

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

Congrats. I test drove mine on a Mon. and asked the dealer when they could get it ready for me. They told me not till Fri. that same week. I think the dealer just wanted to keep it in the showroom longer because it was the only one they had at the time. They did deliver on time as promised.

Re: New FJ Sitting at the Dealer

We test drove on a Monday night, decided (before we drove it, ha!) we wanted it, they hummed and hawed on the approval, and we picked it up on Saturday. A pretty frustrating six days when you want it so bad and if you don't get it, you know there's a line-up waiting for it.

We were lucky as it was just released and there wasn't a ton of hype yet. Hard to imagine we're coming up on a year already!
