Runner,
I sent another message to your hotmail
Ok...got the second e-mail.
Like I said in the return e-mail, a lot of the trails around here took heavy run-off with all the rain, and melting snow. There is still quite a bit of snow out there, and lots of trees down. I'm going out today to scout an area that has been re-opened, but I think we'd be better off waiting a few weeks for some more of the snow to melt, and more of the trees are cleared. Plus, I can check out some of the easier trails.
I'm not sure how hard you guys want to wheel, as I figure most of my "easy" trails would be considered "hard" by some. I'll see what I can come up with...

Re: Vancouver Island

I just assumed that most, if not all the people that would come on this trip would be newbies. I've been doing this for about 15 years. And longer, if you include the Jeep my dad bought new in '75 when I was 3.
Anyways, I know of some easy trails (what I would consider a road)
If you're itching for more, there is some more difficult ones nearby. And if you really want body damage, I can take you on Gongshow.

I think the trails Ryan is talking about are near Shawnigan Lake / Burnt Bridge area. There are a lot of logging roads and unserviced forestry roads from Shawnigan to Renfrew. Unfortunately, the best roads are grown in with alder trees and that means a little surface scratch (easily buffed out). A few battle scars are good. It separated you from all the FJ soccer moms. We will organize a meet soon.

Arrow Re: Vancouver Island

We're looking at making a meet at the Colwood Tim Hortons (Old Island Hwy and Lagoon) Saturday or Sunday Feb 10 or 11 to show off our trucks. I need to know if any Islanders can make it and which date is better.

Re: Vancouver Island

The sunday is better for me. That is if I'm not hung over from the birthday the day before.
