Re: Can Canadians get the TRD SE version?
I'm sure you could, but you would have to import it from the states. I can only imagine the small fortune you would be paying for it.

LOL!........Ya Drunk Drivin Nick Nolte knucklehead.
last time i checked (last Nov?), they didnt even know a TRD Edition exist!
They told me it was just a rumor!
..maybe Rover can send one up this way?
They still haven't heard about(at least my dealer).
Convert the price of the TRD in CND funds, multiply by 6.1%(for duty), multiply that by 6% for GST(and PST if aplicable).
Add to that the RIV fee, transportation(whether you drive it up or have it hauled). Possible your insurance company may want an out of Province and out of Country isnpection done as well.
Make for some big $$$$ but he would have one cool FJ!
Wonder how the local dealerships would handle warranty claims etc. I know they should and all, but it is a dealership..........

Last I heard, there wasn't going to be any TRDs in Canada.
Also, I know if you import privately from Japan, the vehicle has to be 10 or 15 years old before you are able to insure it here. I looked into it when the Toyota MR2 Spyder came out. Unless it's changed in the last year or two...
"Vehicles manufactured for sale in countries other than Canada and the United States do not comply with the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act, CANNOT be altered to comply and CANNOT be imported into Canada. The only exceptions to this rule are vehicles fifteen (15) years old or older as determined by the month and year in which the vehicle was manufactured and buses manufactured before January 1, 1971."
