April 6, 7, 8, WHEEL BC!!!

I'm going out again, with my FJ and my buddy in his 4Runner. We are doing Harrison West forest service road, to Pemberton, then the Hurley over to Gold Bridge/ Bralorne. From there, the Mud lakes and Poison Mountain. Nothing a stock FJ can't do, but you will likely hit your skid once or twice

Who wants to get their FJ dirty?

Atleast you have more enthusiasm than my fellow BC'ers.

Where are they?

I dunno where they are, I for one, would be stoked to wheel on the coast. It would be awesome.

Actually, now that you say that... I'm going to be in Fort St John this summer working and my schedule may allow a trip to the Van area. I'll see if I can make it down for a run!

Thumbs up Re: April 6, 7, 8, WHEEL BC!!!

You should try the road that leads from South Anderson Lake (45 minutes drive northwest of Pemberton / or 20 minutes from Birkin "Gates Lake") to Lillioet. If not that one, there are tons of dirt roads leading to some pretty facinating mining areas and views over Anderson Lake. You'll be following the CN/BC Rail tracks part of the way. I still can't think of the name of the town that the road begins, but I know it's a Indian / First Nations Reservation. Watch out for wild horses on the way!!! (I'm not talking about the women). I'm up in that part of the province from early Spring to late Fall building skid shacks and finding new ATV's trails. We should hook up sometime and check it out. I'll be up there for a week in the first week of July and hopefully sooner in the Spring.

Are there any FJ Trail groups that you know of in the lower mainland?

Cheers!

-Clint

P.S. I'll have to get with you anyway regarding the aluminum handle grips.

Fort St John?? At least you will be their in the summer. I was up their in December and man it was cold. But will be spending April in Ontario now for work. But yeah, wheeling on the coast would be a blast. Next time I am out in Abottsford area, will have to arrange some time and head to the coast.

Re: April 6, 7, 8, WHEEL BC!!!

I don't know of any trail groups. I just wheel with any one who also wheels whenever we can. My last 'Yota buddy sold his truck, and I don't wheel with domestics... I hate towing people out in the bush.

My buddy Dan has a 4Runner that we have done some good modding too, it used to be my Dad's truck. He is my new wheeling buddy of late, but I wanna get some more FJ's to come out with us.

Re: April 6, 7, 8, WHEEL BC!!!

Yup, I worked in FSJ last summer. I'm not much of a small town guy but it's actually not a bad place. 18hrs of sunshine everyday, temps not too hot and not too cold and the scenery isn't too much different than home except for the big rivers. Plus the work up there is a blast for me and the pay is good. I would never want to be there in the winter though.
