With all this cold weather in Western Canada....

I was wondering if any of you have had to add or have added (to be safe) any gasoline antifreeze with these low temperatures we've been experiencing? I've been keeping my fuel tank as full as possible but I haven't added any yet.

No additives here, just trying to keep the tank topped up.

Gasoline has a flash point of -92 F, that is, even at those temperatures, gas can still ignite. Actual freezing point of gas is around -200F to -300 F depending on several factors. Gas lines use to freeze due to moisture contained with the gas system, but most gasoline's today have very little water content.

No, I do realize that gasoline doesn't freeze in the line, it is the moisture (water). Even though gasoline has little moisture itself, moisture can get into the gasoline and freeze in the line with these temperatures that we've been having.

Some gas line anti freeze probably wouldn't hurt, but keeping your tank topped up to prevent condensation is still a good idea. I personally don't use it and have never had an issue, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea.
