LOL, I just fell off mine today... In wet snow, with tennis shoes, unloading a box... I think I'm gonna put some grip tape on the lower rungs at least.

(Note: I'm not very coordinated to start with...)

Re: My Gobi ladder came! yay!

If the weather clears a little, try to snap a shot of the ladder on the FJ, and post it.

I can really see the disadvantage of standing on the bumper to get to the rack, and a ladder seems to be the solution...

Re: My Gobi ladder came! yay!

When you install it put it a little to the left of where the instructions tell you to put... Half an inch more to the left of your spare tire. I put mine too far to the right and won't be able to get larger tires until I take it off and move it. So far I haven't been able to unstick the double sided tape though!

Re: My Gobi ladder came! yay!

yeah was thinking that might be a better way to go due to the 285's i got. but at the same time i might have a simple solution, i orderd a set of spidertrax spacers and realized i had only ordered 2 of them, so i ordered another set and accidently ordered 4 and wasn't able to catch it before they shipped. so now i got 6 sitting in my livingroom lol.
