A month and counting.

ok.. i'm starting to get irritated. My FJ has been in the shop for a month now as of today (tuesday feb 19th). When they looked at the vehicle they told me it should only take 2 - 3 weeks at tops to fix. so, i went over and checked out the truck, wanting to see what the progress was. i mean i understand if it takes a little bit longer to make sure its done right. would rather it take a bit longer and be a good job then a rushed one. anyways, they now have the rear 1/4 panel on but it still needs to get painted inside and out on the panel, the new door needs to be painted and put on, and it needs to get all put back together. that's fine. i'm perfectly happy with that. the thing i'm not happy with is the fact that after the 3 week time hit they never gave me a call to let me know what was going on at all, no updates on the vehicle nothing. when did smaller companies stop caring about their customers? is it really that hard to pick up the phone for maybe 5 minutes to fill a customer in on what's happening with their vehicle? *sigh* either way, the days continue to go by, i have transmission problems with my other form of transportation at the moment o i'm really missing my FJ. i want it back damnit! booooooooo!

and geeze, as soon as i get it back it'll probably be in another shop for a couple days as well cause i have a rear bumper, roof rack and exhaust to go on. the parts are just sittingin the garage begging me to put them on something.. hrmmmm think a 99 impreza 2.5rs would look good with an allpro rear bumper on it?

Re: A month and counting.

Were you involved in an accident or what happened?
Is the FJ at the dealer or elsewhere?

Re: A month and counting.

I think he ran into an underground parking garage concrete support after trying to dodge a pedestrian.

Re: A month and counting.

That's bunk man, at least you got it in at a reasonable time after, here in Rocky it was a nearly a 2 month wait to get it in just to have the rear bumper swapped out due to a hit and rum (run but rum may have been a factor). The warn bumper was recieved 2 days before the FJ went in and they never bothered to check the parts recieved prior to install, Stupid move number one- always check what you got before the courier drives away.
Then realize the shipping company or ware house had put a dent in the bumper and I don't want to install it with a dent and power coat coming off, opps the new bumper from the ware house is 2 weeks away, opps you can't really drive around with out a rear bumper and the old one was CUT apart to get off rather than remove by the book, opps- can't put that on. So lets get a foot of snow and live on a step hill with little to now run up it. I feel you pain man, hold in there hopfully you can at least catch the bus or something, if I need to go to from home and my wife has her car I need to kiss *** at work to take a company truck. I was hoping to bank the favors and good behaviour for days off. Keep you chin up.
