After I see some scary U.S. data (5% MT6 only) and so many people interested on MT6, I ask my dealer to get the order status for my FJ and this is the answer:
- Order status for MT6 black, B group = In production
In Canada, the first FJ of each dealer will be exactly what the client ordered (dealer info.).
Also take a look of Toyota Canada sale projection for the FJ:
MT6: 39%
- 9% base model
- 16% B group
- 14% C group
AT5 : 61%
- 16% base model
- 24% B group
- 21% C group
Those data make sense to me but the 5% MT6 for USA appear off track to me?
Anybody as fresh info on this?

Brand new to this forum, but have been following for a while. I was also concerned about the stats, and so I called my dealer about my order status. I was assured by my dealer that the initial vehicles will be as ordered.

If you ordered one with all the options, then yes it will be as ordered.
The distributors are at the mercy of Toyota and whatever they decide to make. The "orders" you placed with your dealer are not communicated back to Toyota and they are not building one just for you. Once the initial production runs are communicated to the distributors they will attempt to align your "preferences" with what was actually built. At this point port installed accessories will be added to your FJC.
If you want a stripped down model and all they built was fully loaded you will be SOL. In the US the first allocation run happens tomorrow. At that point the distributors will start divvying out the FJCs. At least in the Mid Atlantic area all dealers will be getting one and after that the strength of your dealer plays a large part as to how many more they will get and when.
I don't think your dealer is lying to you, they are just somewhat in the dark.

That makes sense. My dealer says they're only getting two or three in their first allocation. Had my deposit in around November and wanted the manual. That's all I knew then. When I finally did place my order, it took about two minutes (color and package - Silver, Bpkg with MT6). He didn't even ask what my second color preference would be after I said silver.
He did tell me though that if I wanted any accessories anytime soon, I'd have to drive to a dealer in the US as he didn't expect that Canadian dealers would have much soon.

Allocation make sense to me but how they can garantied my car in the first allocation?
What if 50% want MT6 and only 5% is availeble in the first allocation?

That's just it, they can't. It may be different in Canada then the US but with similar launch dates I doubt it.
That is the whole idea behind the list. If it was an order situation you would just get "your" FJC when it came in. Instead if you are 1st on the list then you get first crack at every FJC that comes in until you get the one you like. That is not to say the dealers have no power over what they get but in the situation you mentioned above, some people would get what they want and some won't. It is the job of the distributors to do their best to meet dealer demands.
What if that 5% is only 10% black. You're in even worse shape. Patience is king.
I do not know precisely where you saw these figures, but my dealer showed me a sheet of distribution, and it was for that dealer only. The schedule (barring special ordering/moving around) calls for 30+% MT Vehicles. I think maybe you saw something for your dealer/region. We are not even getting a single 2WD model in my area, for instance (similar to Canada's stats).
% numbers came from the Canadian pre-order form. Goleafs have the same order sheet but in english and he live in another province. May be he can confirm % distribution?

I know that I was able to state a preference before my dealer put their order in; have to assume the first go-round will be easier because they will be selecting from a relatively untouched distribution pool. After that, it is probably dependent on how well Toyota replinishes popular color/option configurations.
