Canadian offroading retailers

Hi guys, I'm looking for a good online store based in Canada to purchase a recovery strap from.
I would prefer to buy from somewhere in Canada to not get slammed with all the fees associated with purchasing across border.
Thanks!

North shore off road NSOR.COM North Shore Offroad is the place for new 4x4 parts and four wheel drive services... in North Van ... but i pretty sure Lordco Parts Ltd. - British Columbia's Source for Auto Parts or PRINCESS AUTO maybe even Canadian Tire have recovery straps and shackles

Re: Canadian offroading retailers

Make sure you get a recovery strap, and not a tow strap. They are 2 different animals.

There's also a tug strap. It has a bungy effect. The instructions actually say to attach to both vehicles, and accelerate at top speed! Sounds bad, but it really works well. Especially if you are using a much lighter vehicle to yank out a heavier truck.

Princess auto is also a great place for recovery gear.

Re: Canadian offroading retailers

I spend about 2 hours a week in Princess Auto. Great place. Bought lots of recovery straps, shackles, etc. Didn't care for the shackles as they were made in China. Crosby makes the best shackles so I got some of them. Also just installed a Gobi ladder I got from North Shore Offroad. First time dealing with them and they are great. Ask for Brandon. You could also try Titan Winch. Titan Offroad recovery equipment and our new TW series Winches Duncan the owner is great to deal with and will ship anywhere.

National 4WD, Canada's Only Coast to Coast Source for 4X4, Jeep, Light Truck and SUV Accessories .......Might be what you are looking for.

I think most of the D shackles you will find are made in China....

Re: Canadian offroading retailers

National's pricing is questionable!

Take a good look around before you settle on purchasing from them.

Re: Canadian offroading retailers

LOL...Their prices are always high....lol.... But there really aren't that many vendors serving the off road market that are based in Canada....Very very few as far as I can tell.

I have been searching for somewhere in Canada that sells the Midland 75-822 handheld CB....Good luck. Amazon.com wants $75 for it but won't ship it to Canada. I found it on Ebay.ca from some fly by night place for $139 plus shipping......Sheesh.

Re: Canadian offroading retailers

I have had problems with National many times in the past. It's been a good 4 years since I dealt with them though, so your mileage may vary.
