I am sure that there are a bunch of us that have projects we want to get done. I need to install and tunE a Cb among other things. The pre mentioned would of saved me from backing down a sh$&60@d of trail today. I am sure there are many of us that have little projects we would like to get done. Actually, after our trail run today, We need to find someone to teach us how to run a buffer.
So here is my idea. We plan an FJ day where we all meat up, pizza, beer, shirley temples, share our ideas and expertise and get Sh17 done.
I can fit 3 or 4 rigs at my house with basic tools. Or if some one has a better facility, that would be the best option. I have a friend that has a lift and compressor and tuning know how. We could use his place and probably fit 10 to 15, but we would need to pay for rental use fee's but I don't like working my friends
So, I need some ideas, suggestions, and people willing to have a good time, lend their knowledge, and follow through.

Re: Pimp your FJ!!!
Seriously, today was the worst scratching that Sandi has ever experienced....possibly more today than all of the other occurrences combined.
I would definitely be into getting together with some of the more knowledgeable folks to learn how the heck to actually take care of the outside.
I know there are at least a few among us that have the know-how.....it's just a matter of convincing them to come out and teach us so that we can benefit from their expertise.....or at least from what they've picked up along the way.
I can help with CB install and tune given a SWR to work with, mine is lost. also just about anything else from bumpers, winches, lifts and lights to the headliner scanguage install. I have a hobby shop in Colorado springs that can house at least 1 FJ inside out of the weather. my only catch is that im pretty busy with work and would to know in advance. just ask ThePassenger, we have been trying to get work done on his for awhile now

stop working hard for your ideas make them work hard for you. imagine one improvement and find 3 more things it can also do.
Damn I have another year till Im out of Germany and in Colorado Springs. Wish I could Im a beast with tools the FJ's easy compared to fixing helicopters
Build so far...
Injen Cold air intake
Borla dual exhaust
Yokohama Geo Lander Tires
TT black out grill
Hella Off Road lights
Pioneer 6x5 in door, 4 inchers in dash
replaced tweeters with high performance 4's
Thuli snowboard rack
Doug Thurley Y pipe
Some custom work on the interior
If given a little notice I could give you guys a hand. I have an swr meter and installed and tuned mine myself, with a little help from the wife. I got quite a few tools as well. I did my lift, scuba mod, rock sliders, outrider suspension armor, fog lights, and I painted and installed my budbuilts by myself. I don't mind helping others out as long as I can schedule it in. I wouldn't mid learning how to use a buffer either.
