Durn, I'm still waiting on my call sign issuance. The VE's sent in the form 605's last month from the test session I took, but apparently they got lost in the mail (ARRL didn't receive them).

So, had to fill out another one and mail it to one of the VE's. Now, to wait some more.

Seems like I've been humming String Bean's tune for the past month...

Ham Radio Class

The Elbert County Office of Emergency Management is sponsoring a Ham Radio Class in its efforts to bring in new emergency communications minded hams to work with the Elbert County Office of Emergency Management and the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office in support of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service for Elbert County.

This five-meeting course is designed to familiarize you with those things you need to know to obtain your Technician Class Amateur Radio License. Class instruction will take place at the Sheriff’s Office in Kiowa. All ages are welcome. The class is open to all. The cost: $18 for the student manual and $15 for the FCC required examination.

Classes will take place on Thursday, Jan 29th, 6:30PM, Saturday, Jan 31st at 9AM, Thursday, Feb 5th at 6:30PM, Saturday, Feb 7th at 9:00AM, Thursday, Feb 12th at 6:30PM and culminate Saturday, Feb 14th with the administration of the FCC Amateur Radio Technician’s exam at 9:00AM at the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office
