Rig is awaiting suspension stuff in th shop...

...but in the mean time, I have bumper, winch mount, Lucrum Swiingout and more to work on, in a potentially otherwise unbusy shop.

In the Boulder/denver/etc area? Feel like wrenching?

Re: Rig is awaiting suspension stuff in th shop...

I'll bet if it were a soddy, wet weekend and my name was Jason or Todd or MissFJ I'd have loads of volunteers j/k

Just started the front bumper parts 1 (removal), probably start part 2 (MetalTech intsall) tomorrow. Then, if I have time before I lose my easy shop access, it'ss be the challenging install: the Lucrum rear swingout. Actually, from what I can tell, the swingout is easy, it's the removal of the existing bumper and installation/modification of things to get the heavy duty spindles installed. Not sure that'll get done by the weekend. But it sure feels good to start!

I know what you mean by, feels good to get started. I just started working on my 1955 chevy again. Its been two years since I worked on it last. Got all tied up in the FJ thing. I hope to get some paint on it in Jan. And have it put back together for summer time. Good luck on your bumper.

Plus it means I can at least TRY to justify maybe buying some new tools. Already rationalized a set of impact sockets.

Yep, maybe! Then again, I am not even sure that's worth going to Boulder for!

I'd be there in heartbeat if it wasn't an 8 hr + drive. If your name was Bambi I'd make the trip

I got my front end done yesterday, then started on the back. When I was working on removing the rear bumper (warn) and fell asleep on my back with an impact drill in my hand, I figured it was time to go home.
