Exclamation Used FJ Cruiser - Blue Book Value??

Since Kelly Blue Book and NADA don't yet list the trade-in or private party value of the FJ Cruiser what does everyone think an approxiamtely value for the below listed FJwould be?

2007 FJ Cruiser VooDoo Blue, 7500 miles
Auto
4X4
Toy alarm
sensors
TRD exhaust
rubber mats
roof rack
Toyota bug deflector
six cd am/fm
air bags front and side
tow package

etc...

Basically fully loaded with all the options, except for navigation system.

How much could I ask for it here in Southern California?

Hmm...

Base FJC with 7,500 miles= $21,000
The all the factory options minus GPS= $8,000

Wheeling, riding, and driving in style= PRICELESS

No really, probably in the 28-29k range

That is only maybe a grand or two at the most below what you can buy it for brandy new. Why do that when it has at least 6 months of use? Other advantages of buying new are also lost. At $25K or less however it sounds like a sweet deal.

I agree with these guys...let me explain.

It is all going to depend on how quickly you NEED or WANT to get out of the vehicle. I would have a hard time purchasing a vehicle from you (or anyone, for that matter) for only $1k less than BRAND SPANKING NEW!! What's my incentive to buy your rig? Anyway, my point is, someone will probably buy it at the $28k - $29k price but it will be the person who wants that exact set-up and is unwilling to wait for one. On the other hand, at $25k-$26k you will probably be able to move it pretty quickly as now you would be valuing it at a price that takes into account it's age and mileage. Just my .02!!

Good luck with your sale!!

Re: Used FJ Cruiser - Blue Book Value??

I agree. I would really like to get into a voodoo ride like yours, but in order to buy used I would have to save at the very least $2K over what I could get a new one for. The difference in finance percentage between a new and used rig is about that alone. Seeing people are getting new ones for around $1K over invoice, I'd say invoice - $1K is realistic. But it's worth whateve someone will pay for it...

Just my opinion...

And I know what it feels like. I waited 6 months last year for a motorcycle only to have them release a brand new model a few months later. With 750 miles on the bike I would have had to eat $4K to trade it on the newer model and wait another 6 months.... I hate buying new and $30K is a lot of money. But the FJ might be one of the few new purchases I make unless I can stand to wait a year or so.
