Thumbs up $3,641.00 under MSRP

Yes,,, I paided $3,641.00 less than the Sticker MSRP.
I have been lurking around 3 dealers in the NW Fla.
area for about 6 months, without much luck, and 3
days before Xmas I stopped in the local dealer
they had six FJ's on the lot plus 2 used ones.
Armed with the tips, info, and experances from forum
members I got a deal I though would work for me.
This was my first new car purchase.
Thanks folks for posting info that helped me
level the playng field, and cut out the B/S that
sometimes goes along with the "dealership experance"
Plus the salesman gave me a oem tire cover, and hat.

Great deal...makes me jealous!!

Now how about some pics?? (I didn't want to say the obligatory "This thread is worthless without pics". I thought that would be too negative.)

Re: $3,641.00 under MSRP

Sounds like a great deal!! Probably a good time to buy a new car, especially if a dealer is loaded with unsold units. January and Feb. are traditionaly slow sales months for cars, being right after the holidays and winter, etc. Things start to pickup as the days get longer and warmer. I was happy to get $1500 off on mine last May and to get the dealer to 'unorder' about $1000. worth of PIO items I didn't want anyway off of an FJ they were expecting. Don't know if everyone knows, but a dealer can change the distributor installed options of on-order units, if it's done before it hits the docks.

Re: $3,641.00 under MSRP

If you count the 5K mark up they had on it in April then I got mine for $5000 under sticker price! Sweet!

Re: $3,641.00 under MSRP

That's amazing, here in Seattle, most dealers won't move more than $500 under MSRP.
