What to pay for used 2X2?

Hi,

I've got an opportunity to get a used blue 2X2 with package 2 and roof rack. it's got a little less than 11K miles on it. What's a good price to expect to pay for this? I know that new ones invoice for 24ish in my area. Any chance of getting less than 20K?

Make an offer to the seller ofr what you think it's worth. $20M sounds about right.

I would not pay anything for a 2x2 truck, but Yamaha makes a pretty cool enduro motorcycle that has 2 wheel drive utilizing hydraulic pressure. Anyway, I would think that you could get a used 4x2 FJ for less than $20k. Resale value of the 4x2 is likely to be hampered by the fact that it is 4x2. The FJ Cruiser market is really in the 4x4 area, just like the Jeep Wrangler. 4x2 wranglers just don't sell.

yeah, 4 x 2..... i'm not going to be off the road too much that requires 4 x 4 (i'm in the middle of texas), but i'll be hauling dogs around a lot. so, it would be a fair assumption that it could be had for less than 20?

Re: What to pay for used 2X2?

If it's what ya want, pre-arrange your financing and make them an offer. The worst that can happen is they will make a counter offer. BUT don't get into a payment haggling session with them...It's most likely that you will loose, as that's their game and they own the ball, bat, and park. If they are hungry, they might bite on an offer.

Re: What to pay for used 2X2?

it will be a straight-up buy, or a trade + cash. i'm not into owing them money! i'm just trying to get a feel for what a used one will typically go for, as there's no blue book info on them yet
