Re: Ordering an FJ from a dealer

Go online to Toyota's web site and you can build your own FJ with color preference & options. From there it will give you how many of the Fj's you chose are in your area. Any dealer should be able to help you out once you know what you want in the rig. Do some research on this site to figure out pro & cons of the options.

If you are off road like most you'll obviously want the 4x4 version and I would highly suggest a trac & rear locker. The rest are conveniences. The only options I did not order mine with were the rock rails (bought used & powdercoated already), hitch, & TRD exhaust. I wish I did not get the alarm & tint (think you can do better for the $) and the aluminum skid plate (bent mine and it totally acts like a shovel in mud). I wish I did the hitch because now I want one but, I'll get a lift 1st before so I don't lose clearance when climbing. Good luck PM me if you have specific questions. Good Luck. K

Re: Ordering an FJ from a dealer

My advice get the options you want from factory (side airbags, convience package, and upgrade #1, or #2) no port options the stuff the dealer does. As more than likely you will want to upgrade later once you see all the cool stuff you can get. Make sure you do your home work though, if the dealer doesnt work with you, call around maybe flying somewhere to get what you want would be better.
