buying a new fj on southern california?

Hello, I am in Long Beach CA and looking for the best deal on a 07 or 08 4x4 fj with locking diff and option pkg 2. Has anyone recently had a great buying experience (good deal) in the so cal area? What was the final OTD price you paid and where? Any info will be great, as I'm really looking forward to the new FJ!!!

California Motorcars: 858/350-9800. Ask for Maureen. She's awesome and very helpful. She found one that you're looking for for $24,000. It's probably not available any longer but you never know.
Even a similar deal would be sweet. Tell her Maureen sent you.

Just go out to Longo toyota they will have the most fj's on the lot and with the most options of 07 and 08. That is where we bought hours and it was a very nice dealership.

I know that a couple of weeks back toyota of oxnard had 2 sun fusion Auto FJs with upgrade pacakge 1 for $6000 under MSRP after the $750 rebate. They still have them on the lot (you can see them in their online inventory) It worked out to about $2650 under invoice once you include the rebate. Awesome deal, but I am looking for a manual. Since they are still on the lot, you should be able to get the same deal they were offering about 3 weeks ago. talk to their internet sales people there since it was offered on through their on-line sales department. I also want upgrade package two, but would settle for 1 since the only diff is the sub (and you can find them on sale here)

Wow, if you can get an 07 FJ for $2,600 under invoice, two things are happening:

1-The economy is much worse that I have thought, especially the car sales area;
2-You're getting a royal deal!!

If on the other hand the aforementioned FJs are no longer available, I got a great deal on an 08 Sandstorm from Miller Toyota in Annaheim. Ask for fleet sales manager David Hatch (contact below), and tell him Kal from San Diego referred you (this will help you, I think ). David gave me a price on my '08 FJ that was only $43 over invoice at a time when Sandstorms were hard to find. So for an 07, I can only imagine the deal he'd give.
Good luck, and post and update to tell us how you fared.

Re: buying a new fj on southern california?

Thanks everyone for all the great input! I have two dealerships offering me great deals on a 2007 4x4 silver. One dealer has one equipped with option pkg 1 and includes running boards and driver curtain airbag. after rebate and discounts the have offered me $25,829 + tax/license. The second dealership has one equipped with option package 2 and includes running boards but no curtain airbag and they have offered me $26,150. Both of these deals are coming in hundreds under invoice, as both dealers seem VERY motivated to make a sale before 12/31. I have replied to both dealers to ask them how close to $26,000 they can get me a 2008 for! So, tomorrow I will be coming home with a new FJ. The question is...will it be a 07 or 08? Now I just have to decide between KING coilover with reservoirs front and rear or the ALLPRO walker evans kit. Hmmmmm
