**completely Absurd Tt Dealer Quote**

I just got back from my local Toyota dealership, Daytona Toyota, and I think I will be in shock over their pricing for the rest of the day! (maybe even the week!)

This is for a 2008 Trail Team Auto:

$24,135 - Base MSRP
31 - Fuel Surcharge
625 - FJ Roof Rack
1,840 - Convenience Package
699 - ToyoGuard Plus Protection Group
5,110 - Trail Team Special Edition
399 - FJ Drop Hitch Receiver
149 - Passenger Armrest
159 - Window Tint
735 - Manu., Del., Process., Handling
699 - Dealer Fees
3995 - "Adjusted Market Value"

$38,576 - PLUS TAX, TAG AND TITLE, OF COURSE!!

You would be lucky to get out the door here at anything less than $41-42K!!

I tried to deal with this dealership before, in March '06, and they would not budge on their $4995 Adjusted Market Value then on an '07 FJ UNTIL AFTER, conveniently, I had made a deal with another dealer at MSRP!

Just FYI.............The ToyoGuard has the same junk other dealers use under different names to pad the price, like paint sealant, roadside assistance, VIN etching, etc. The Adjusted Market Value, which they had at $1495-1995 on other vehicles, including "regular" '08 FJ's, includes free lifetime oil changes and loaner cars! WHO CARES?!?! For that price, I would either change my own oil, go to a Jiffy Lube, and either walk or take the bus and save $5K!!!!

I met a salesman and one of the sales managers, who made sure I knew that today was the best day to buy, as it is the last day of the month. Oh, and the sales manager told me it would be their only TT, since each dealer only gets allocated ONE!! PLEASE!! I told them I had to talk to my wife about it, so I had an excuse to leave. Of course, I did love the way it looks, but I was really only there to see one in person, since I hadn't before.

Just thought you would like to hear my story..................

OK So I am the Internet Manager at my store, and I even think this dealer is wacked and should be shut down.. You just can't expect people in today's world to be treated by a dealer like it is 1990. This is old school car sales and is what puts a bad name to my business.. It really S*&^ks a lot and is what I have been trying to change at the dealers I have worked at..
IMO don't buy from this dealership, they will get the hint by no Sales... It is the best way to change the dealership...

This is JMO and should no way be considered a dealer's point of view..

Re: **completely Absurd Tt Dealer Quote**

I love it, I remember when a local dealer first got the FJs and they had a 5K markup. When I asked what it was for...they said because the FJ was going to be a limited edition run and that demand was exceeding supply. They couldn't respond when I asked them how come they had 7 sitting on the lot. About like the guy who told me last night there were only 2400 TRDs made last year. All of the TTs coming to this area have wacked out packages like leather and heated seats and rear seat entertainment.

Got an auto TT sitting at my local dealers lot right now. I'm sure it's MSRP...maybe less because they have a lot of FJ's on the lot (for them) right now. Couple of base models too. Too bad your local dealer is lame. Sorry, dude.

Re: **completely Absurd Tt Dealer Quote**

Just got back from the Toyo Dealer in Jackson TN to take another hard look at the one they have. Trying to convince the wife to trade her Explorer in for it. If we do that she can drive the FJ we have now and I will get the TT.

It's a MT and its going for 32K and some change.
