Good dealer in Utah= Menlove Toyota in Bountiful

I bought my Trail Teams there earlier this week. The guys were completely upfront and honest. There were no surprises. I got the price quote I wanted through e-mail, was greeted at the dealership, and treated like an important customer by all who dealt with me.

The internet guy I was dealing with had me go on a few test drives just to be sure with a very very low pressure salesman who knew everything there was to know about the FJ/4Runner/and Tacoma.

They seem to be in the business of moving cars, and NOT playing games, and that is totally refreshing. Just in the sake of full disclosure, they said that any customer that refers somebody who buys a car will get $100 as a thank you. I of course wouldn't take it, but would have them roll it into your deal if you chose to purchase there. They said they were cool with that and just like getting new customers.

So I am not attempting to make anything off of this. Just to help others find a dealership who has good prices, good service, and knows the FJ. They actually walked me through their clean shop and had me meet the parts and service guys, and they were all very cool and treated me like a member of the family.

The internet guy is young and on the ball and his name is Scott Leach. My salesman (they split the commission because the salesman knew more about the FJ and took me on the drive and just sort of hung out with me for the afternoon) was Chris Anderson. Chris is as nice and honest of a guy that I've ever dealt with in my 20+ years of buying cars. He knows every feature of the FJ and the history of them. He also has some funny stories about folks who shouldn't have bought one! Give them a shot if you're looking.

Congrats on the new FJ man!! SWEET!!!! Pics? Hey, someone had to ask....

P.S. - If I ever bought a vehicle from Manlove Toyota, I'd have to remove the dealer plates ASAP....I just couldn't drive around with that on my truck....

Bam Bam,

I bought my highlander and Fj from Mark Miller in downtown SLC and also have had a really good experience with both thier sales and maintaince teams. Very helpful, upfront, and got good deals on both vehicle purchases.

I've had a lot less luck with Karl Malone down in Sandy. I gave them a few chances and each time they never wanted to work with me, played too many waiting games, and weren't even in the same ballpark for price compared to Mark Miller. I wouldn't recommend them and they will be very sloooowwwwww.

I also got mine from Menlove, and yes, the license plate holder went off as soon as it was in my driveway. They were terrific to work with for me as well.

MenLove sounds like a weekend retreat for emotionally beaten males. I have a mental image that everyone in the dealership is shirtless and gives you a big "I Understand" hug when you walk in. Name: redguy dancing.gif

Glad to hear you were treated fairly.

Re: Good dealer in Utah= Menlove Toyota in Bountiful

Menlove... it really is Menlove. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Anyway, I had bought one months ago (actually I had two different ones that I "bought"), but the deals fell all apart at the very last second because of some extremely strange happenings.

I am sort of glad it played out the way it did though because I got a good deal on the Trail Teams, and it just seems to fit me pretty well. So no big deal. I do need to chronicle the adventure in getting one though. It's pretty funny looking back on it now.

This is where I purchased my FJ from as well, and it was well worth the 500 mile drive to do it. I couldn't find a damn stealership in Vegas at the time who was even willing to speak to me if I didn't have interest in their fully loaded on-the-lot models. I called Menlove, told them what I wanted and a month later they had exactly what I requested at the price we wanted. Great dealership.
