Re: Deal or no Deal? thread

KBB says the private party value is $26,410 in excellent condition. I would start with a lower offer of say $22,000 and then go from there. The worst they can say is no.

X2, although don't make em mad. FJ's are in short supply right now and that is a fair price.

Re: Deal or no Deal? thread

Got them down to $23,400. SOLD! And it has an upgraded alarm that will save on insurance. The wife is driving it back to the house right now. Worst part is I'm in the desert of Northern Iraq, and I don't get to play with it for 4 more months! At least I have my tanks!

Re: Deal or no Deal? thread

I'm new around these parts, but have been lurking for months.

I figured I would piggy-back onto this thread rather than starting a new one, as I don't want to overstay my welcome.

I went into the local dealer trying to locate or, more than likely, order a base-model Army Green 2010 FJC 6MT. As it turns out, there are no MT models within 350 miles and the only one in green is already allocated. I was told that ordering could take a minimum of 6 weeks, but likely more like 8 or more, which is pushing into mid-spring!

As it turns out, they just received a 2008 Trail Teams Edition (Iceberg obviously) with only 21k miles. It looks like it even has a black stripe along the bottom of the doors near the rail, which I had never seen before on a TT. A custom job maybe?

Anyway, I love the look, but the kicker is that it's an automatic. I guess I am able to live with that if the price is right given the other features gained over a 2010 base model.

Sticker is $25,877. Deal or no deal? What would you offer?

Re: Deal or no Deal? thread

If you plan to mod it don't spend the extra $ just for a TT edition. my .02¢

I'm not in the market right now so I don't know if that is a good deal or not?

Don't worry about "overstaying your welcome" most people on the board are very understanding and welcoming.

Re: Deal or no Deal? thread

Offer them 24, it looks clean and that price is not too off base.
