I would like to nominate a hard working young man on the forum known as Thugasaur, he is a hard worker in the retail biz and to that end we know probably the paycheck doesn't stretch so far as to mod your new rig. I met him at Fjammings get together and know that he "gives" for others too! He loves this forum and is working the Christmas rush hours now, so he is not on here much at the moment, so this could be a great surprise or him too!
Thanks for being a generous forum sponsor Jason!
Thank you for your very generous donation. You show the true spirit of this holiday season--giving to the truly deserving.
Since I know both Dom (DominicG) and Matt (thugasaur), I would say that they are both very deserving. Matt is finally working again after being without work for a number of months. Dom, on the other hand, just graduated from high school a few months ago and just started working recently. With a good set of sliders, these guys will be able to attend more challenging trail runs and learn more about the capabilities of their FJ Cruisers.
I've known Mat (Thugasuar) for a while and have always been impressed with his willingness to help. He's one of those happy go lucky guy that has a infectious smile . He would love to hang out more with the SoCal group but is always hampered by the fact that he doesn't have adequate armor. He works hard in retail and has not had the greatest of luck as some of us had. He is also the sole financial supporter of his mom.
I was fortunate enough to have him and Mudlovingfj help me with various projects in the past. The two of them are great assest to Socal FJ community. If he can receive the sliders, it would match perfectly with the Demello skids he picked up a few months ago. My vote goes to him.

I will go with Thug as well. He is always giving what ever he can and willing to help out. And like Tony said is lacking in the armer department and funds department.
Jason you are a stand up guy way to go!

Jason, while I don't qualify for a pair of your SLIDERS - no FJ yet , and I
can't recommend any Forum member - too new , I will say that you are
being very generous this yuletide season!
Thug is a good choice too. But, since I sarted with DominicG, I'm gonna stay the course with him. Thug would be my #2 vote because my kids really like him alot, as do I.

Wow. Thought I had friends here. People who cared for the downtrodden and the abused. This is dedicated to all those who have suffered the struggles of the D.O. customer. Perhaps you will find it in your heart to give them some holiday cheer:
The FJ Builder's Soliloquy
Oh sweat-covered, greasy fellow
Whose fate would find him at Demello's
Fingers raw and body strained
Insults fall on him like rain
Accused each hour of the day
of dressing wrong or acting gay
Courage puts him back to work
ignoring some bald-headed jerk
Oh plasma torch and grinding wheel
whose stinging sparks I live to feel
'Tis better with earplugs in place
than suffering verbal loss of face
The hours drag and minutes pass
the gnarly post-lunch methane gas
Was building rigs the smartest choice
when presented with a D.O. invoice?
But this holiday the boss relented
with gifts that were not stinky-scented
As DO stepped up to the plate
They showed a kindness that was great.
