When I was a kid I worked for a company called The Trim shop; mostly a mail order VW Thing parts store. I shiped bumpers, fenders, doors, seets, roll bars, hard tops and even half clips for gods sake. When something is being packed it is the responsability of the seller to understand the pitfalls af the shippng comany they use and pack the item accordingly to limit dameage. The fact that a shipper will drop a package doesn't excuse the seller nor does it justify customers recieving damaged goods.
sorry never learned to spell.

Re: Pics of my bumper
This is why some distributer's have started selling alot of products in raw metal. Because people always whine about their powder coat being chipped. WTF do you expect, look at the weight of these thing's. Plus some people have a miss conseption of powder coat. It is not bullet proof, not even close. If you want something that durable use a coating such as Rhino, linex, ect. But still then yet, it is not going to be BULLET PROOF!! People expect to buy something off the shelf and just simply bolt it on in 10 seconds and that's it. HAHAH, well 99.9% that's no the way it work's. I know you paid X amount of dollars for the bumper and you should not have to drill holes. But how F*ckin hard is it drill some hole's buddy.
Factory bumper laid against DO bumper. Bolts in the drives side holes.
Bumper slid all the way to one side.
And all the way to the other. As you can see the holes don't line up. I've tried every which way to mount this bumper and short of drilling out the holes it ain't going.
As I mentioned on the phone the holes for the ACRO lights didn't line up with the brackets on the lights. I had to redrill them father apart on the passenger side to get the bolts in (bolts which I had to supply for some reason, why this $1.04 worth of hardware wasn't included is beyond me!)
After I mounted the lights I then found that they were drilled too far forward, especially on the drivers side. I even flipped the mounting brackets on the light to get them to sit a little further back. With the lights as far back as they will go they stick out the bumper leaving them vulnerable to rocks.
Driver's side
Passenger side isn't as bad but still isn't recessed in the bumper
Pictures of scratch and powder coat rubbed off of shackle mounts.
After all of this, this is how my $30K FJ sits, unusable!
So in summary:
•$130 Acro lights didn’t include relays, wiring or switch. This wasn’t mentioned and the $90 “wiring kit” was not offered to me when I ordered bumper.
•Mounting holes for Acro lights not drilled correctly.
•Powdercoat damage/ shackle mounts rubbed off
•Main mounting holes for bumper off by 1/8” -1/4”
•Instructions don’t mention the upper bumper support bar needing to be removed, what to do with the A/C line, etc. Very incomplete instructions. Luckily I was able to look at All-pros bumper instructions and see how they recommend handling the A/C line.
Now you have the pictures you need either refund my money or send me a new bumper ASAP.
Corey
As we said last week when you called and talked to Jack we would be happy to take care of you. We simply asked for pictures to see if the bumper was mounted correctly. Except for this post I have not received them yet.
It looks like either the mounting brackets were a little bent in shipping or you are putting on one side at a time as we explained over the phone. You need to put on both sides at the same time. Sometimes when removing the factory bumper the studs get bent. Worse case you can gently tap the studs a little more on center.
We wrap the bumpers pretty good before they leave the shackle mounts are usually wrapped in several layers of cardboard and wrapped again with shrink wrap.
I just spoke with Jack and he said we were waiting on your pictures or a call back.
The packing job that Demello does on all of his products stands far above allot of others. They put enough plastic wrap and cardboard around there product that it is a pain in the arss to get it back out. So I would be more apt to going after the shipping company for treating it like crap.
If damage is still occuring, even with extra plastic wrap, the seller must change shippers, spend extra cash on packing, sell the stuff as secconds or ship to people like me who will beat the crap out of it anyway and don't care about the scratches.

A lot of you are posting up about the powdercoat. As I mentioned earlier I was willing to overlook that. I was going to redrill the holes for the lights, mask off and paint the bumper as needed. But when the bumper wouldn't go on that was all I could take. That is why I asked Jack for a new bumper. At this point I think its only right considering all of the problems that I've had.
Jason, review the pictures and let me know how you want to fix this. Tapping the studs won't work, the holes are off too much.
I work for a ltl freight co, and yes, things get hit dropped stacked on ect... If you ever see a loaded pup going terminal to terminal, you'd be suprised more stuff doesn't get trashed. But good luck, sounds like the guy is willing to work with you, just one thing though, he asked for you to send him pics, not post them here for him to review.
Jason and his shop are a first class outfit, Jason will take care of the problem. This should be done by e-mail and if not resolved, then post up on the net, not before the Vender has a chance to make things right.
