Looky what I did today?!

Well I bought a bumper from TACOZILLA when he was trying to get them outa his way (I was merely helping him do some spring, err... fall cleaning around the shop, your welcome Shannon! ) and it had been sitting in my way for THREE months....

NOT NO MORE!

It's installed (and looking great I might add) and the installation went smoothly even though I had only hand tools and my two hands to lift the beast! So without further adieu here are some pics...

Before...

...just starting the tear down...

...test fitting...

...bumper in place...

...grill getting blacked out...

...and WHA-LA! I disabled the DRL's while I was inside there...

Can't be happier except if I had a winch to put in the hole but that will come in time.

Thanks J.D. for making a great product and thanks TACOZILLA for helping the FJ community spend every last expendable penny they can on making their own FJZILLA'S!

Thanks for all the comments and I can't perceive any added droop even though I doubled the weight on the nose. I didn't post this pic earlier because of the fuzzyness of it but you can see the profile of it here...

Re: Looky what I did today?!

Lookin good. I do like the look of the DO bumper. Had mine on since December 25 (Xmas present) and get a lot of positive comments about it. So much better than the stock bumper. Took measurements before and after installation and only 1/8" lower with DO bumper. No noticeable ride or handling difference. Will you be installing lights in the holes ?
