Icon/Donahoe Extended Travel Coilover?

I seem to remember reading a while back that Donahoe had put out an extended travel version of their coilover that required new UCAs to run. Is this true? And if so, is Icon going to be continuing this part? I've seen that the Demello website is stocking Icon coilovers and I'm interested...

Re: Icon/Donahoe Extended Travel Coilover?

I'm running the very first set they put out. They are just a little bit longer to give you 3.5" height. I had to run after market UCA's in order to install mine. You could run them dialed down with 2" of lift temp, but i wouldn't do any heavy off-roading until I replaced to UCA's myself. By the way, I love my DR's...I mean ICON's

Re: Icon/Donahoe Extended Travel Coilover?

At the DeMello Open House today, I had a chance to talk to Dylan Evans who's ICON Chief Engr about the extended travel front coilovers for the FJC and he confirmed that they are available and is .4" longer than the standard version and will require aftermarket UCAs (this translates to ~1" more wheel travel).

Re: Icon/Donahoe Extended Travel Coilover?

Off topic: I talked to Dylan Evans today and he was thinking of doing a limited run of the LCAs in the next few weeks after he figures out the price. Matching upper adjustable control arms too.

I have them on mine w/ the Donahoe (Icon) UCA's and they work awesome... They certainly did the job on the Duran Loop at Calico last weekend, and high-speed running on the dry lake behind Calico last weekend, too.

Icon will be making all the suspension components that donahoe was producing. The bumpers are no longer available, but all the rest of the stuff will be (pm for approx production times if you are interested in something)
