You are right! It is best for a perfect match to do them in the same batch. The colors are pretty consistent but little variables such as concentration, time in dye, and temperature make slight differences. I guess you will have to wait for the rest of them to be finished and released... sorry.
But the clamp shouldn't be too big a deal. Who holds your battery clamp next to your shifter and grab handles?
As for tarnishing, if you are worried about that I would use a little billet polish and put a thin layer of wax or the like on it. Spray on car wax would work. It will likely take a long time to oxidize even without this and can be fixed with the billet polish if/when it does.
I'll take that yellow one off your hands. (I do wanna be the first yellow with bare engraving!) I just have to decide on the engraving. It's blank right now right? Get those pics up here Bandi!
