I sent off my design to a sheet metal company and am waiting to hear back.
I'm going to have 2 made for myself to see if they even work, and if they do then we can have a group buy. They will bend around the sill to provide real paint wear protection, not like the billet sill protectors.
At this point we aren't sure whether they will be laser cut, formed aluminum or laser cut, formed stainless. Aluminum may work, and then could be possibly anodized, but aluminum doesn't enjoy forming like steel does. If we go stainless they will be your choice or brushed of black oxide, permitting the black oxide is not a super expensive process...

They are going to make them from 5052 aluminum, so I think anodizing is a go. I think hard black and hard clear are the best choices, as hard anodize will wear alot better than regular as your foot hits them daily.
If you want other colors I think we can accomodate, but be warned, even though anodize is harder than paint (like your sills are now), regular colored anodize won't last as long as hard.
