Re: "Trail Team" type Shift knob?

Hey Joel,
Nope, not a dead issue. I'm still interested and anyone who wants a TT shifter who doesn't have a TT should still be too. I tried ordering from the link and was shut down. This afternoon (no lie!) my local dealer tried also. The Toyota rep not only told him that they wouldn't sell them to anyone without a TT, but they had to confirm that the originals were damaged or stolen so they would be replacements only! So...bottom line, there is still a definite market if you want to make them!

That is a pretty short sighted business decision from a company that normally is very good about that sort of thing. It is not like we are trying to buy new badging to try and make like we actually own one, just a way to increase the appeal of a rather spartan interior.

Hey Joel,
Put me down for a set of black ones also. Will these be UV anodized?
Thanks,
GW

Congrats on post 1000!

I don't know what that is...

I was going to have someone else make these per my drawings as I don't have a CNC lathe in my garage, just a mill.

But, a close friend and colleague just purchased a CNC lathe with the intent that I help him set it up and run it. We don't have any business lined up yet, and it should arrive any day now, so these are number one on the list for the new beast, with a few other FJC goodies in mind. I don't think I will have any time before the summit as I have a billion things on my mind to get ready for the summit still, but I will get on them as soon as I get back!

Re: "Trail Team" type Shift knob?

Okay guys. The lathe is in! Just in time for me to leave for the summit...

As soon as I get back we'll start turning these out!

Thanks
